A fire extinguisher plays a very important role in every place — office, home, car and more. Fire extinguisher systems and automatic modular extinguishers are also important for server racks, data centres and large companies, to douse a fire before a big incident occurs.
Many types of fire can take place depending on the location. The interesting fact about extinguishers is that a single device cannot tackle every type of fire, because various extinguishers are created to handle different classes of fire. So it is important to choose the right fire extinguisher for the right place.
CLASSES OF FIRE
Know the class before you choose

| Class A | Solids such as wood, cloth and plastic. |
| Class B | Flammable liquids with an extremely low ignition point that set ablaze at the slightest trigger. Such fires are extremely volatile. |
| Class C | Flammable gases which are explosive in nature. Gaseous fires start instantly and spread vehemently and explosively. |
| Class D | Combustible metals, which are extremely explosive in nature. A highly specialised extinguishing agent is needed, or fire fighting can be fatal. |
| Class E | Electrical fires arising from electrically energised devices. |
| Class F / K | Fires caused by super-heated fats — a major source of fires in the kitchen. |

ABC Fire Extinguishers
ABC powder type fire extinguishers are very effective against all classes of fire risk. They can easily combat A, B and C classes of fire as well as electrical fires. Available in several versions and designed using high-end components, these extinguishers are portable and ideal for industrial, domestic and commercial protection needs.
CO2 Fire Extinguishers
CO2 based fire extinguishers are highly effective against B and C class fires. This extinguisher is perfect for preventing fire in IT rooms, labs, server rooms, and food storage and processing areas. Available in 2kg, 3kg and 4.5kg standard versions.
Clean Agent Fire Extinguishers
Clean agent fire extinguishers offer great performance and reliability. They can be used on sensitive equipment as they do not leave any residue — making them not only eco-friendly but also perfect for electrical equipment and flammable liquids.
BC Fire Extinguishers
BC powder fire extinguishers are specially designed to tackle fires caused by flammable liquids and gases, extinguishing class B and C fires. Powered by sodium bicarbonate powder, they offer great performance for commercial and domestic fire protection needs.
Water Fire Extinguishers
Water fire extinguishers extinguish fire by removing the heat element of the fire triangle. They are ideal for extinguishing class A type fires, and deal with fire involving solid combustibles like paper, wood and textiles.
Foam Fire Extinguishers
Foam fire extinguishers work on class A and class B fires. The foam blanket smothers the fuel surface and seals in vapours, which also helps prevent re-ignition — making them suitable for flammable liquid risks as well as ordinary combustibles.
